Denver, CO – Intertech Plastics, Inc. (“Intertech”), a custom molding company specializing in highly engineered, tight tolerance injection molding, continues to strengthen its already robust industrial and consumer goods division with the hiring of Lionel Buenaventura as director of operations and Mike Klestinec as business development manager.

In his role as director of operations, Buenaventura is responsible for managing all areas of manufacturing at Intertech’s industrial and consumer goods facility to ensure products are manufactured on schedule and aligned with quality standards and cost objectives.

Buenaventura has more than 35 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on project management, process development, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques, and new product development. Prior to joining Intertech, he served as director of operations at Johnson Controls Inc. / Tyco Fire Protection Products, where he provided leadership to a global fire suppression supply chain consisting of one factory in the U.S. and two factories in the UK and managed $130 million in cost of sales. Buenaventura began his career at Copeland Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Emerson Electric Company, and has held various leadership positions in manufacturing engineering, production, quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance.

Buenaventura graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He also has a certificate in leadership from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

As business development manager, Klestinec is responsible for expanding Intertech’s market position in the industrial and consumer goods industry by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing new business relationships.

Prior to Intertech, Klestinec spent his entire career at Missouri-based Dollins Tool, Inc., starting as an apprentice in 1996 followed by roles in procurement, logistics and operations. He also served as president of the company for six years, helping to reinvigorate its business development initiatives. Most recently, Klestinec served as site manager and was part of the executive team responsible for developing the company’s strategic plan.

Klestinec graduated from the University of Missouri – Kansas City with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and media studies.
